In response to your #2....I have been doing a lot of research lately on plastic bottles and have found that the #1 bottles (recycling # on bottom of bottle) are designed for one use only. If you refill them they supposedly leach chemicals into the water....and who wants to drink plastic...not me. Doesn't sound like you do either.
